Unanswered: I need some help please

Hey Everyone, I am new to writing sql queries and need some help. I have searched and read all the information I have but can not find the proper way to do this...What I want to do is:

I have data in the table with State abbrevations like NY and I am grouping by the state field. I want to replace the abbrevation with the name. An example would be NY with New York.

    Any help would be appreciated

what you really should have is a States table, where the primary key is the 2-char state code, with the full state name as the data column

then you can join it to your main table in the query | @rudydotca
