    Unanswered: Barcode reader

Is this possible and how is it done. I set up tble where I keep track phonecards inventory. Each card has serial number. Is it possible to buy handheld barcode reader and scann each card and the data to go directly to the form or table.

    Thanks

A USB Barcode reader when Plug acts like a key board input so that the easy bit

be careful how the barcode reader is configed

ie after its read the code you can tell it to press the enter key to move to next feild or tab key to move to next feild.

the hardest bit in baring code reading/writing is getting the barcode on to the paper.

Yes. It's possible alright. I have designed many database applications that make use of barcode scanners of various kinds. The keyboard input type scanners are the easiest to set up in your database. The cordless ones that hold data until uploaded to the database are harder to set up, but both are certainly possible.
