Question Unanswered: Using SSIS to extract binary file in linux logged by C program...

    Hi guys,

I am having some difficult problem now.

I have a system running on linux. The C programms are creating some binary file that contains very useful information for my DW. The problem is, I do not have the structure of the file, and my vendor refuse to disclose any details nor giving us any connector to extract the content of the binary file.

How can I use SSIS or any mean to ETL it and translate into readable information in my DW?

How do you know the file contains this "very useful information" - is it human readable (e.g. using notepad)?

nope, it's not user readable. I can tell by the filename. Just need to dig out the content more first....
