    Question

If i hav a table named occupant (FirstName, LastName, Age, Contact, Marital status, Nationality) & visitor table (FirstName, LastName, Age, Contact).

is it advisable for me to merge them into the same table? If yes, How do i verify whether they are visitors or occupants?

depends on a number of things, but it's quite feasible

you would need an additional column that indicates person type

can an occupant also be a visitor?

so if i wish to view all the occupant details, i would need a column named occupant? so if this is true, i will need to set the column format yes/no? this is because im using ms access.

the occupant cannot be a visitor in my scenario.

    many thanks.
