    Exclamation Unanswered: TNS-12546: TNS:Permission Denied.

    i have a windows 2003 server and have got two instances running but the listener does not start even on windows services. help please

    // *Cause: User has insufficient privileges to perform the requested operation.
    // *Action: Acquire necessary privileges and try again.

    Most likely cause is because you are not logged onto Windoze as the owner of the Oracle s/w tree.

    open a command window
    CUT the following commands

    lsnrctl start
    lsnrctl status

    PASTE commands into command window
    CUT & PASTE commands & results back here.
