I think this code by Dev Ashish might be helpful for you.

This looks like what I am looking for. However, when I try to implement and run the query with this module, im getting a compile error
"Compile Error. User Defined type not defined"
and when the VB pops up, the following line is highlighted.

    "Dim db As DAO.Database"

    Ideas?

You need to go into the references (via the Tools menu) and make sure that "Microsoft DAO 3.6 Object Library" is selected.
