    Thumbs up Unanswered: Calling a s.p in a trigger

    Can someone give me an example of how to call a Stored Procedure from a Trigger? The trigger will call the s.p to insert to a table when a DML is performed.

    PL/SQL to a large portion does not know or care it is "in a trigger" or not.

    Call the Stored Procedure normally; by name.
    You can lead some folks to knowledge, but you can not make them think.

    For most folks, they don't know, what they don't know.

    firstname = :new.firstname,
    middleinitial = :new.local_middleinit,
    picture = :newicture,
    usertext6 = :new.usertext6,

    Giovani,

    Maybe it's time you studied the fine Oracle® Database PL/SQL User's Guide and Reference.

    I'm so used to an Ingres database. Using rules instead of Triggers. Sorry.
