    Unanswered: writing the registery

i need to modify the registery temporarily , some printer settings need to be modified.
I can do this by the shell command and run a dos batch file , however these settings are not picked up by the running application.
I lso need to reset these keys to the original settings.

How can i do this so the running application will know this and use them ?

For instance i need to set this one :

    reg.exe add "HKCU\Software\FinePrint Software\pdfFactory2\FinePrinters\pdfFactory Pro\PrinterDriverData" /v ShowDlg /t REG_DWORD /d 2 /f

    Thanks in advance.
    Bye Erwin

This might be helpful for you, which allows for saving registry entries to HKLM:
Replacement for VB's SaveSetting and GetSetting

You'd have to replace the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE variable with the hex value for HKEY_CURRENT_USER (&H80000001).
