    Unanswered: Oracle interview questions

    Hi All,

am working as a junior DBA in an MNC, having 1yr experience.
i am going for some interviews, can any one pl guide how i have to prepare for the interview,
like in which topics i need to concentrate more and what kind of questions may be asked?

it will be a great help for me.

    Thanks in advance,
    Lucky.

    DBA? Straight away, I think:
    1) Backup and restore
    2) Security
    3) Performance

    thanks for the quick reply.

is it for junior DBA level?
if u dont mind, can u tell me some sample questions because,
in my organization i have not involved that much, so i dont have any idea of performance.

    thanks in advance,
    Lucky.

In the first instance, read the Concepts guide and the Database administration guide from Search and Download Oracle Database, Application Server, and Collaboration Suite Documentation
Do not practice questions, prctice Oracle. Do not be afraid to say that you do not know something in an interview. If you try to get a position that is way out of your current skill level, you will be found out sooner or later. It's a junior DBA position. Keenness to learn and put time, effort and dedication into the job will be seen as very appealing to a prospective employer. Just my tuppence ha'penny.
