    Unanswered: Database Error Help

Everything worked fine until about 2 weeks ago. I don't what I could have done to stop it from working. Here is the errorQL Server 2008 Express

A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections.(provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40- Could not open a connection to SQL Server)(Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 2)

    Thanks in advance

    Here's is how it looks:

    SQL Server(SQLEXPRESS) Stopped LocalSystem

SQL Full-text Filter Daemon Launcher Stopped NT Authority\Local Service

SQL Server Reporting Services Running Automatic.\John Doe

SQL Server agent Stopped Other(Boot, Syste) NT Authority\Network Service

SQL Server Browser Running Automatic NT Authority\Local Service

I don't know how something would have changed in the last 2 weeks. Everything has been set the same way for the past 2 years or so. And I have always controlled everything. I have McAfee and Linksys Router. I haven't changed anything in my router and McAfee has the same setting as always.

Now the only thing that I noticed this morning was that the Vista Firewall was turned on and how that happened I don't know. I leave that off so it doesn't conflict with Mcafee.
