    Unanswered: how to add number of days to date field in valuesets in oracle applications?

    Hi All,

    This is extremely urgent. I have created two table-value sets. The second one is dependent on the first one. The second one should be populated as the first valueset+6. Both the valuesets are of date datatype.
    i used the fiollowing query but it resulted as inconsistent datatype.

    calendar_date = :$flex$.First_value_set_name+6

    Can somebody please help me out with this issue? this is extremely urgent.

    Hi radhr,

    If I've thoroughly understood what you want to do....

    Code:
    first_date :='28/01/2008';
    select to_date(first_date,'dd/mm/yyyy') + 6 from dual;

    I don't know this version of oracle application, I've just think that even if the type of your value is a date, there is a way to add a number of days to this one in order to get an other coherent date.
    i'm sorry, if i can't be enough useful >_<

    IF YOU HAVE TO HAVE TWO FIELDS then you can use a trigger to maintain the second one as exactly 6 days past the first one. however, I would use a single date column and simply add 6 to it to arrive at the week end.
