Exclamation Unanswered: Write function in VBA

    Hi guys,

I have a function which has inputs (pDate as date, asset as double, tick as string).

For row A in the table, I'm trying to find another row B which has the same tick, but three months later in date, and put row B's asset's value to row A's column named "new_asset".

Is there a way around to do this in VBA or Access? Whatever works out can be a great help to me! Thanks!

you should be able to do this in SQL using a subselect
you shouldn't be updating / storing derived values

however as I've just chainsawed my test data set up for your earlier problem I'll pass on this for now
I'd rather be riding on the Tiger 800 or the Norton
