Angry Unanswered: Record is too large (Error 3047)

    Hi guys,

I need some help on this one please. I have created a split database, and on the one table it gives me the above error. Now, I can't minimise anymore, is there a way around this, so that I can up my size of records?

It's difficult to help you with the few pieces of information you supplied.

Could you be more precise, explain where and when the error occurs, give some sample of the data you manipulate as well as a description of the definition of the tables that are involved?

    Have a nice day!

    Hi Sinndho,

Everytime we work on a form, and enter data into the table via the form, at some stage during this datacapturing period, you cant save the record. The abovementioned error pops up. I s'pose it only happens when the data size of the record itself has exceeded 2KB.

There are several limitations in Access and the 2K/record is one of them. See:

A solution could be to use memo fields that are not submitted to this limitation.

    Have a nice day!
