    Unanswered: PL/SQL cursor and Form builder

    Hi all
    I'm using curser to retrieve data into tabular data block in form builder. how can I move to the next row.
    In PL/SQL I use dbms_output.put_line(student_id);
    what shall I use to implement the same in form builder ??
    Please help me.

    You have to populate block items with values fetched from a cursor and - within the loop - move to the next record.

    PL/SQL cursor and Form developer problem

    declare
    cursor a_cur is
    select a.order_id,a.customer_id,a.salesman_id,a.order_sta tus,b.pro_item_id,b.product_qty
    from order_master a,order_detail b
    where a.order_id=b.order_id;

    begin
    for i in a_cur loop
    :sales_detail.pro_item_id:=i.pro_item_id;
    :sales_detail.quantity := i.product_qty;
    next_record;
    end loop;

    end;

    in the above code, when i use next_record, i found Form error:
    FRM-40727: illegal restricted procedure Go_Block in When-valid-item trigger.

    plz help me out to solve this problem

    You can't use restricted procedures in certain triggers. Which ones and why - read in Forms Online Help System. Obviously, WHEN-VALIDATE-ITEM is one of them. Therefore, choose another trigger to do the job.
