    Unanswered: db2move from v9.5 to v8.2

    AIX 6.1 DB2 v9.5 -> AIX 5.1 DB2 v8.2
    We have a DB on v9.5 and we need to create a copy of this DB on v8.2. I understand that we can not do it using backup/restore (only the other way around). Is it possible to do it some other way? Will db2move work in this case? Thanks in advance

    db2move (used with db2look) might work. If all of you object names on the 9.5 system are within the limits for 8.2, then it should work.

    Hi..

    You can user db2move ... export database in to db2move,
    then transfer that file to your target location...
    then create database,
    connect to that database,
    change directory to db2move,
    then import or load the data

    Please some one correct me if the steps I provided are wrong...
