    Unanswered: optimization in oracle

im calling a procedure from another procedure. The other procedure has certain if-else conditions and inserts into a table of some other schema. Its taking 45mins to insert 5000 records. Please tell me how i can optimize it?
P.S : I cant change the other stored proc. Can change only mine.

    Don't call it & you'll save 45 minutes.

Then live with the reality that it's taking 45mins to insert 5000 records.

    There is no _MAKE_SQL_FASTER=TRUE parameter.

Paste in your procedure, maybe we can optimize it. and make sure to explain the parameters to the other routine. the bottleneck might be in your procedure.
