    Unanswered: newbie timeout issue: SQLServer2000

    I have inherited a system which uses an access2000 front end combined with a Sqlserver2000 backend.

    I have a financial report that seems to fail with timeout messages but not constantly ( I assume the amount of data being processed is getting near a threshold that is causing a timeout?).

    The code in question calls:

    DoCmd.OpenReport strRptName, View:=intViewOption, WhereCondition:=strWhere

    This as you would expect calls a report in the local access database which

    references a local query in the access database which i

    n turn runs a view in the backend database.

    This is now failing with the following error:

    ODBC -- Call failed
    [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver] Timeout Expired (#0)
    -3146 -MSAccess

    I'm relatively new to this so any tips as to adjusting appropriate timeouts etc is greatly appreciated....

    Just to add,

    it times out after 60 seconds....

    I've tried changing the ODBC query timeout in the registry from 60 sec to 100 secs but it still timesout after 60 secs
