    Unanswered: Parsing by XML/HTML tags?

Hey, is there an easy way to parse a string to return an element surrounded by tags. For example, I have a string like this, what function could I use to pull the Upload Status "_SUBMITTED_". I was using Mid but obviously that won't work all the time for this situation. Thanks again. :

    <UploadType>_POST_FLAT_FILE_FULFILLMENT_DATA_</UploadType> <UploadStatus>_SUBMITTED_</UploadStatus> <SubmittedDate>2007-04-05T00:34:00+0000</SubmittedDate>

isnt there a XML library either built in to Access or capable of being ioncroprat

failing that you could use the instr function to find the position of the specified data and then use a mid function to extract what is required
I'd rather be riding on the Tiger 800 or the Norton

Healdem, sorry for the delayed reply. I haven't been able to find anything in the XML library for that but I could have missed it. I ended up using your instr and mid combo function and it seems to work well. It should do for now. Thanks for the idea, I wasn't even thinking about that.
