Unanswered: restore db to new attached drive

I finally got fiber card adding 900 gigs of disk installed on Windows 2003 box using DB2 8.2 FP 12. DB2 data directory is on d: drive. New fiber drives are on e:.

I'd like to restore a database to d:. I tried specifying "TO e:" on restore database command, but it appears to be doing it on D, which of course runs out of disk where I then get the db2 message that it's out of disk space.

Search for "redirected restore" or the db2relocatedb command in the manuals.

"It does not work" is not a valid problem statement.

Found a typo in one of the SET TABLESPACE CONTAINERS. It was going to E instead of F.

When you have DMS tablespaces you can move your data without database downtime, the SMS tablespaces need a redirected restore so the database has to come down.
