Question Unanswered: How to find the version of a db in Sybase?

    Hi all,
Could you please tell me how to find version of the database on a machine which has multiple versions of sybase installed? We are upgrading to Sybase 9 from Sybase 7 and we want to confirm once the db is upgraded if the upgrade completed successfully or not.

I tried select @@version but tht seems to be showing the version of Sybase central and not the db it is connected to.

FYI - This is for ASA upgrade and not ASE.

    Any help is much appreciated.

    Thanks !

    For Sybase IQ

    You Can try

    start_asiq -v2

it should give you a detail output like
    9.0.2.2056
    Sybase IQ/12.7.0/080707/P/ESD 5/Enterprise Linux64 - amd64,Opteron64,X86_64/2.4.21-27.0.1.ELsmp/64bit/2008-07-07 14:27:26

Alternatively..you can look at the start of the iqmsg file.

    Thanks Naveedm.
But, where do I run this command from ? Sybase central ? I couldn't the iqmsg file either.

Just to confirm, I need to know the version of the database itself and not the version of Sybase installed. I have multiple dbs on my machine created by different Sybase versions ... and I need to know the version of Sybase each one of them were created.

Also, this is for ASA and not ASE.

    TIA !
