Unanswered: Can you up date a Table in access by uploading an excel file?

    Hi Guys,

Is it possible to update particular fields in a table in access by uploading a excel file to the database?

I have a table "TBLORDERS" with unique records and want to be able to update certain fields in cetain records that table. i.e Orders 6,7,8 updating Fields 3,4 and 5 using an excel file.

How would i achieve this? can someone please help or point me in the right direction.

    Many thanks

    I do this a lot.

It involves importing the SS into a new table (usually temporary) and then using VBA and/or update queries to do the mix and matching.

Yes, but only if you can tell me which part you are stuck on or don't understand. I just don't have time to write a book on the subject
