Unanswered: Problem in installing sql server 2008

    Hey guys,
I am installing my SQL server 2008 and it before starting installation it does its "Installation rules check". In this case it tells me that rule " SQL Server 2005 tools" failed. The description says that I have SQL server 2005 express tools installed in my system.

Well, I don't have SQL Server 2005 tools installed in my system so how can I remove it?

There are some checks that might be related in the Setup Support Rules checker, but nothing exactly like this.

    Hello guys,
I am sorry for the late reply. Well, I found the solution. I had to remove the registry which was HKLM--> Softwares--> Microsoft--> Microsoft SQL Server --> 90.

We have to delete it in order to deal with the problem.
