    Question Unanswered: Create ageing periods (eg 0-30, 60-90 etc) Excel 2003

    Hello,
    I need to work out how many days old a row of data is, based on any inputted date. Eg, how old is an entry based on 31/08/09.
    I have a listing of work orders which is generated from Maximo in Excel form, and I need to know how old each of these work orders is, based on a date. This date varies from month to month.
    Any help would be appreciated as working with dates can be tricky, and am currently doing it via grouping dates on a pivot table.

    The following formula should give you the number of days that have passed since the row was created:
    =NOW() - [RowDate]

    You could then use a VLOOKUP function in conjunction with a table of period thresholds to work out how many periods had elapsed since then.
