    Unanswered: spool file in .txt format

    Hi

    am logging into sql using script.

    sqlplus ima/ima@test <<!
    spool /opt/tt/spoolfile.txt
    @sql.sql
    spool off.

    now i am getting a spool file named spoolfile.txt.lst

    i want it to be only spoolfile.txt

    I am working on solaris


    uname -a
    SunOS massena 5.9 Generic_117171-12 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-V240

    Cool Check you sql

    It should have created the file correctly, check if you sql scipt does not have another "spool" command.
    Code:
    SQL> spool /opt/oracle/spoolfile.txt
    SQL> select sysdate from dual;
    
    SYSDATE
    ---------------
    22-Sep-09 08:24
    
    SQL> spool off
    SQL> !ls -alp /opt/oracle/spo*
    -rw-r--r-- 1 oracle dba 88 Sep 22 08:24 /opt/oracle/spoolfile.txt

    I have checked... its soolfie.txt.lst no the sql script contains just one line desc emptable;

    PRD2_MQAD_&X.txt was changed to PRD2_MQAD_&X..txt

    it worked
