Unanswered: Any impact on application by intraducing triggers on tables?

    Hi,

We have a exisitng application which was doing the changes through online screens. We are planning to implement the triggers on the table do we see any drastic performance issues on the application due to the triggers(Insert/Update/Delete events)?

If yes/no could you please make me understand on that area.

    Thanks in advance!!!

Will you see dramatic performance issues? It depends. With any trigger you will get a performance hit because you are doing more work. Whether it will be a dramatic hit depends on your database, what the trigger is doing, and a host of other factors. The best thing is to try it in a test environment and see what happens.
