    Unanswered: Subform update help

    Hi
I have been at this for near 2 weeks now and I have no hair left.
I have 2 forms, one form has a combo box where it looks up the current user, a date field I then have a command button which runs the query and takes the values from the combo box and date field as the query criteria. The second form I made is based on the resulting query which works fine when it opens a new form each time. So I made the 2nd form a sub form of the first, however if I run the query it does not update the 2nd form. How can I make it update each time?? Help !!!!!

What have you tried so far to force an update of the subform?

You need to requery the subform after the query is run. Repainting the whole form after then probably wouldn't hurt, either.

So where are you trying your requery commands?

I think the command you need is something like this:
    Me![subformOBJECTname].Form!Requery
    Owner and Manager of
    CypherBYTE, Microsoft Access Development Specialists.
    Microsoft Access MCP.
    And all around nice guy!
