Cool Unanswered: SQL Server 2005 Client

I need to load the client on a number of machines. I'm in a MS XP environment and I remote to the server where I have created a user group. My users cant loggin into the server. That's the first test.

I require they access the database from the client on there box.

If you mean SQL Native client, there is an MSI package somewhere for that install.

If you mean you want to install SQL Management Studio on a bunch of users' desktops, someone will have to script up a silent install, or go from machine to machine with the disk. I would discourage it, anyway, since there should be an app between the users and the database.

If the users are having trouble accessing the existing database server at their location, you might want to make sure that the network protocols are enabled.
