Job Description Under general direction from the team manager maintain the schools enterprise systems including Servers, storage systems, and enterprise applications. Develop and maintain infrastructure and configuration documentation for systems monitoring, automatic software distribution, and system patch management. Recommend, evaluate and implement tools to support the environment. Support, install, maintain and troubleshoot all enterprise systems and applications. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned): - Provides system administrator, analysis, design and functions for all server systems to address the needs and requirements of clients. - Create and maintain user accounts. - Monitor system performance and perform load balancing. - Serve as liaison to vendors for all server systems for maintenance, problem resolution and upgrades of installed hardware and systems, application and data communications software. - Collaborate with network infrastructure support staff to maintain, problem solve and upgrade data communications software. - Provide technical expertise in working towards effective software recommendations and upgrade solutions. - Document all software/hardware changes/updates according to standards/procedures. - Create and maintain a disaster recovery and backup testing plan. - Coordinate server backup including installation and upgrading of all backup software, hardware and software
