Unanswered: Problem in dbase ConnectionString[WRONGLY POSTED]

    Hi all,
I'm first time user to this forum.

I'm working on a vb.net application, that has a connection to a server.
The database used is dbase IV.
While developing, I imported the dbase files to MS Access and worked, so that not to disturb the riginal database.
Now during implementation, I used the server location in the datasource, but found that there is a problem in opening a connection.
I do not get any error msg, the application hangs and nothing is written from the database table on the file that is generated.
    code:
    Code:
    WRONGLY POSTED
Its one of the sub, in the application that uses the database.

    Hoping for a solution.
    Thanks in Advance.

This forum is about IBM's DB2 and not dbase.

Yes, it is. But there are hundrets (if not thousands) of different database systems available. DB2 is one, Oracle another, and dbase also calls itself "database system". All those systems different in various aspects (to put it mildly) and aside from basic SQL questions, you can typically not apply details from one system to another. Therefore, it is usually best to ask people who know the specific system you are using.
