    Unanswered: Access SQL to Oracle SQL

    Hey Everyone,

    I'm having a hard time translating this update query from Access into Oracle syntax...can anyone help?

    UPDATE (PW_STREETCENTRELINE LEFT JOIN COMPSEG ON PW_STREETCENTRELINE.SEGID = COMPSEG.MAPNO) LEFT JOIN IMSV7_STREET ON COMPSEG.STKEY = IMSV7_STREET.STKEY SET PW_STREETCENTRELINE.STREET = [IMSV7_STREET]![STNAME];

    thanks,

    Try this:
    Code:
    UPDATE
    ( SELECT PW_STREETCENTRELINE.STREET AS STREET1, IMSV7_STREET.STNAME AS STREET2
      FROM PW_STREETCENTRELINE
      LEFT JOIN COMPSEG ON PW_STREETCENTRELINE.SEGID = COMPSEG.MAPNO
      LEFT JOIN IMSV7_STREET ON COMPSEG.STKEY = IMSV7_STREET.STKEY
    )
    SET STREET1 = STREET2;
    You may need to add PK columns into the SELECT clause so that Oracle knows which row you are updating.
