Unanswered: Dynamic data source for crystal report 9

    hello
i have a vb6 application on server with crystal report 9 , i need to give dynamic location for reports in vb so that each user can access the report with no need of having the same name of network drive.
Simply the problem is , that if the user has not mapped the network application drive with the same letter used on the report datasource , the report won't work

why not put a database file in a shared folder instead of mapped drive so that you won't have to worry about driver letter? you can specify the location by for example....//server_name/folder name1/folder name2/file name

i have my db and reports in a shared folder on the server, so am doing shortcuts to the application on users pc's , this way i can do modification to the application and reports once , else if i create a copy on each user pc, when i have modification i have a lot of work 2 do. And i don't want 2 put a copy of reports on each pc
