    Unanswered: database error


    using enterprize manager when i enter with sys and my pass it allows me but when i click on administration it again ask me for user name and password but when i provide them user name and password it give me MESSAGE "Database error IO exception unknown host specified"

    i dont understand the problem

    Post Operating System (OS) name & version for DB server system.
    Post results of
    SELECT * from v$version

    When was last time it worked OK?

    your administrator of os is also the sys dba .

    the administration tab require host credentials .

    try your meshine name \ admin user

    i.e mechine\administrator.
