    Unanswered: Auto log out ie goto logout screen

    I have a number of user using a ASP website they do a lot of data entry

    it make Cookie on there machine if there has been no data entry for some time it will log them out.

    but the problem is that as the screen does not change when the user get back to there machine see where they stop typing and start again but when they click save they are log out and they get taken to the login screen

    any ideas on how to fix this

    Clear as mud. I'm not sure which of two solutions you want, so you'll have to pick.

    If you want the screen to roll to the login screen at the logout time no matter what the user is doing, then use an onTimer event.

    If you want to allow the user to complete their current data entry before the logout takes place, then modify the click event for your Save button.
