    Hi,

We need to clone a 64bit Oracle Database (R12 Apps) to 32 bit.We did rsync of $ORACLE_HOME from source to target. When we run adcfgclone.pl dbTechStack, we face an error as follows.

    StackTrace:
    java.lang.NullPointerException
    at oracle.apps.ad.context.CloneContext.promptForPortP ool(CloneContext.java:3564)
    at oracle.apps.ad.context.CloneContext.getInputDBRACI nitial(CloneContext.java:1435)
    at oracle.apps.ad.context.CloneContext.getInputFromUs ers(CloneContext.java:973)
    at oracle.apps.ad.context.CloneContext.doClone(CloneC ontext.java:599)
    at oracle.apps.ad.context.CloneContext.main(CloneCont ext.java:5033)

    RC-50004: Error occurred in CloneContext:

Oracle Database: 10.2.0.4.0 (2 node RAC)
Oracle Apps: R12 (2 node RAC)
    OS: Red Hat Linux 5

    Please suggest any solution.

    Thanks,

    64-bit binaries won't run on a 32-bit OS

You need to runInstaller for fresh install on 32-bit system
You can lead some folks to knowledge, but you can not make them think.
The average person thinks he's above average!
For most folks, they don't know, what they don't know.
Good judgement comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgement.
