    Unanswered: About Database Purge Script?

    Hi All,

    What is Database Purge Script and how can i wirte that script with VB6?

    yes, it's SQL Sever 2005 .export data from table and store at CSV file and then delete that table using VBScript.That is what i want to do.

    You can write the lot using nothing but SQL if you want.

    Cursor over the tables in sys.tables

    BCP out the data and then DROP the object.

    Give it a try and post back your efforts if you need a hand

    I would extract the table ddl as well as indexes on top of that, so you have a current definition to match the bcp file.
