    Unanswered: Update a checkbox when report is printed

    Hi All,

    I have a report that I regulary print out. The table that is used to populate the report has a 'Printed' check box field. Is it possible for this box to ticked automatically once the print button has been pressed? Currently I manually check the box myself.

    Thanks is advance for your help!

    Justin

    I believe you'll need to set the check box = -1 in the click event for that button, if you're just concerned about it being checked after a button press.
    If I had any wisdom to impart, I would do so here.

    Could you please give me a quick guide of how to do that because I am unsure of the places i need to put each command.

    Cheers,

    From design view, click view code, and this would go in there.

    Private Sub [button name]_Click()
    DoCmd.PrintOut
    Me.[check box name] = -1
    End Sub

    (in Access 2007)

    fair enough, but use the intrinsic vba constants of true or false rather than rely on a specific numeric value.
    I'd rather be riding on the Tiger 800 or the Norton
