    Unanswered: SQL Server 2005 versions

I have a server that I just took over. It's version is

    9.00.1399.06 RTM Enterprise Edition (64-bit)

I would like to upgrade to SP3. Do I need to install SP1 and SP2 first or can I just upgrade to SP3 right away?

    Thanks

SQL Server service packs are cumulative, so when you apply service pack N you implicitly apply all previous versions at the same time... Just apply SP3 and you'll be in good shape!

In theory, theory and practice are identical. In practice, theory and practice are unrelated.
