Unanswered: rman instance crash and disappear

    rman instance crash and disappear

I have an rman instance in oracle 9
the instance crash and disappear suddenly.
I need to recover it by restarting the rman instance again.
There is no any information in the log like alert log as I search
before already. No any log information certainly.
How can I set trace or debug for this instance
So , next time ,it crash again ,I can have information to pass to support ??
    Any advice

    Cool Trace files? Logs?

    What about trace files?
    What about the OS logs?
There must be some file (log) where the issue has been recorded.
The person who says it can't be done should not interrupt the person doing it. -- Chinese proverb

You claim to have a problem with whatever may be an "rman instance".

Here is what we don't know.
    Operating System name or version.
Oracle version to 4 decimal places.
EXACTLY what you did to cause this mysterious error.
Are CUT & PASTE broken for you?

Enjoy your mystery since you share with us no meaningful clues.

I can't even tell you to submit SR since V9 is no longer supported.
You can lead some folks to knowledge, but you can not make them think.
The average person thinks he's above average!
For most folks, they don't know, what they don't know.
Good judgement comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgement.
