    Unanswered: Unable to install SP 3 for sql server 2005

    All:

    OS : win xp
    Sql server 2005 dev edition
    Current Sql server service pack (RTM)
    When i try applying Sql server2005 service pack 3

    I am getting alert...
    ngen.exe - Application error the application failed to initialize(0xc0000005). click on ok to terminate the application

    a recently applied update, KB955706, failed to install.
