Unanswered: Role of disable_on_error in Streams Apply

I have setup a streams between two oracle 11g instances. I have also setup the parameter disable_on_error to 'N'. Even after this parameter setup, the Apply Aborts when it gets the duplicate rows when it can not insert the data. My understanding is that the Apply should not abort on any error. Could someone clarify this one please. I appreciate the help in advance.

You should practice what you preach.

You are doing something; exactly what we don't know.
You are getting some error; exactly what we don't know.

Please recognize it is EXTREMELY challenging to debug code we have never seen.

Please use CUT & PASTE so we can see what you do & how Oracle responds.
You can lead some folks to knowledge, but you can not make them think.
The average person thinks he's above average!
For most folks, they don't know, what they don't know.
Good judgement comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgement.
