    Unanswered: Compact and Repair

    If there should be a corruption problem when performing a C & R on a split Access database then it is likely that the tables would be corrupted, too?

    Not necessarily.

    Are you compacting/repairing the backend or frontend?

    It is the frontend, the part where the users enter data.

    to my experience the data tables in the BE are not affected.

    one specific record that the user was in - when their FE barfed - maybe incomplete

    Don't forget to also debug/compile the code in the front-end (as well as compact/repair). I do this often (whenever I make any code changes.)
