Unanswered: erased data from MySQL table still populating a Google Map?

My organization uses phpMyAdmin/MySQL to store a database with multiple tables; the data in those tables is used to populate a Google Map.

I erased a bunch of rows of data from the main table because it was old. I expected that information to no longer show up in Google Maps, but it is still there. Anyone know why that might be happening?

I am new to this ...

that's where i would look -- the app that does the populating

the mysql database itself will not factor into solving the problem, yes?
