    Unanswered: Restore database

We are in the process of converting raw device containers to filesystem containers.
Can I restore a database which was on rawdevice containers to filesystem containers ?

I think you should be able to do that with redirected restore, if you are not thinking of changing the tabespace type (from DMS to SMS).

"It does not work" is not a valid problem statement.

Yes, you could do that but you do no need to. Just add new containers and drop the old ones. It has been covered here more than once. The "rebalance" sub-process will move the data on the fly.
    Less risk and no downtime.

You'll have to do a redirected restore. You can generate a nice script (assuming you are using >= 9.1) that will allow you to change the containers:

db2 restore db <db_name> from </path/to/image_dir> redirect generate script script_name.sql

Open script_name.sql and make your changes. That's a very easy way to do it.
