Unanswered: db2advis Run on Client Side?

    Server: DB2 9.1 Win2003
Client: WinXp installed with DB2 9.1 client

Is it possible to invoke "db2advis" on client side?
When I try invoke the command on command line, it just gives below error:
'db2advis' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
    operable program or batch file.

I did search the forum, but previous thread's suggestion doesn't work!

    Could anyone help? Thx

DB2 tools are not included with Runtime Client. Install the full client package.

Probably I should have mentioned another obvious hint: you have the full client installed but invoke db2advis without properly setting the DB2 environment.

You could do that by running either db2cmd or db2envar.bat (obviously, you would have to specify full path to either).

Even though I cannot invoke "db2advis" on the client side, I do open the Design Advisor screen from Control Center.
However, every time I summit the sql, Design Advisor wont return anything. It just shows blank on all the fields on the Index Recommend Screen.
Not any error at all, just blank!

But on server, everything is just fine. The "db2advis" and GUI.

Haven't got chance to try db2envar.bat.

But I did search my client side db2path: C:\Program Files\IBM\SQLLIB
    No db2advis exe was found.
Is this why I cannot invoke the command?
