    Smile Unanswered: # of SQL server logs

    What is the best practice for saving # of sql server logs currently I am saving seven days of logs.

    You want to save as many as possible, but for that you need to have a "watch dog" mechanism created, so that the sizes are not getting out of hand. Also, before issuing sp_cycle_errorlog, you may want to consider storing the one that will be moved out elsewhere (I usually have them stored into a table on an admin box, or a database designated for it).
