Unanswered: Oracle apex help please :)

    Hi,
I'm brand new to Oracle apex...so go easy on me.
I am attempting to create a movie database, I'm trying to keep it very simple...I have my forms and tables created, but have come to a stumbling block. I would be unbelievably grateful if some1 could advise me how I could link to a website such as IMDB...so that I could pull images off this website to be stored in a film table under a BLOB.

    Many, many thanks in advance,

You can lead some folks to knowledge, but you can not make them think.
The average person thinks he's above average!
For most folks, they don't know, what they don't know.

Nah I know what IMDB is, what I was asking is how to link some way into an Oracle APEX database so that I can store images off their website or perhaps browse a film and allow it to fill the textboxes on my form.
    Thanks

Create browser functionality in PL/SQL code to access site.
Or use existing tool like wget.

You will most probably violate their terms of use if you do so.

I'm pretty sure that you are not allowed to pull images from their site without their permission

    Hi
The IMDB Website has a page on their licensing conditions :-
Authoritative and Accurate Information about Movies & Television

But the prices start at $15,000 / year.

Here's a page of FAQs that defines the conditions for licensing their material :-
    Content Licensing FAQ

Instead of pulling these images off of their server can you not simply reference them in your web pages? So keep a database record of the image, a description and the external link.

Typically you run the risk of having your website look bad when they do a reorg of all their servers/URLs. Also, if they go offline for any reason.
