Unanswered: Full text index - left join alternative

full text index does not allow me to use left join where i really need to use its mechanism, like get the joined records between table A and B including the records in table A that has no reference in table B, is it possible?

    here is the error:
Cannot create index on view "somedb.dbo.someview" because it uses a LEFT, RIGHT, or FULL OUTER join, and no OUTER joins are allowed in indexed views. Consider using an INNER join instead.

any reason why you can't declare the index on the table rather than on a view?
