    Unanswered: Copy a record

I have attatched a test file as explaining this is difficult.

I want to enter sales orders which are made up from a tblHEADER and tblDETAILS table. One sales header can have many order details (seperate order lines)

I want to be able to copy the entire contents of an order. This is easy using an append query if the details are all in one table but in his case, the order is spread over 2 tables.

Can anyone have a look at the file and see if they can help?

    Thanks
    Simon

Any reason you can't use two append queries?

I want to automate it so that both append queries can run at the same time without being prompted for criteria. This is the bit I am confused about.

What I want to do here is to use an append query to copy the first table and then find the associated records in the second table and append those as well. The test.zip will show what I am trying to do asit is hard to put into words.
