    Unanswered: Access Report Question

    Hi,

I am having the user select an end date to process their report.

The query prompts the user to enter the end date that they want and report is processed. I want to print the selected end date from the query in the report heading. Is there an easy way to do this without creating another form?

    Thanks...Ludington

You can use OpenArgs to pass a piece of data when opening a report just like you can with a form. That should do the job.
    Hope this helps!

If you used a bracketed criteria in the query like

    [Enter end date]

you can have a textbox in the report with a control source of

    =[Enter end date]

The key is that the text must exactly match what was used in the criteria, or you'll get a second prompt.

    Access Report Question

Thanks pbaldy your answer worked perfect. )

Thanks to you to Missinglinq too. I am sure your way works to but it looks a bit more complicated. I would need to see sample code to understand it better.
