Cool Unanswered: Searhing a SQL Database

    Hello all,

It's been awhile but I ran into another stump.

I have been using Visual Web Developer Express (VWDE). Its been going well.

    Here is my Scenario:

I have a SQL database and am using VWDE to to build the front-end so far so good.
However, now I would like to build a Seach page to allow the user to search the database by a specific date and/ or using key words.

My problem is I have never done this and have been scouring the net for any information on how to get started. The Help files for VWDE dont seem to be very helpful either.

My site is on an intranet.

This brings me to my question:

Do any of you pros have any suggested resources/tips to help me get started. Once I get started I think I can pick it up pretty fast.

    Thanks In advance
    Tommy

I would probably suggest identifying which table/column you wish to search then writing code to match that criteria.
